The Dallas Diocesan Council of Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides a variety of programs and services.
Senior citizens comprise one of the fastest growing and vulnerable segments of our society. In conjunction with the
National Council on Aging, this St. Vincent de Paul program connects older adults with federal, state, local, and private
benefits that will help them pay for basic needs. This program screens clients through NCOA's “BenefitsCheckup” Program.
Services provided under this program consist of:
- Access to low cost or free medication
- Assistance with preparation of Medicare Part D applications
- Case Management to ensure independent living and self-sufficiency, as well as direct assistance for those with a recovery plan
- Other options as needed depending on the clients' health and family situation
