Thank you for taking part in the 2026 Spark of Hope Breakfast as we celebrated 70 years of
the Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas walking alongside neighbors in need – offering help, hope and dignity.
Ms. Tonya’s story was a powerful reminder of why this work matters. Through your support of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas, she and countless other neighbors found friendship, stability and hope during a difficult time.
As we heard in St. Leo's quote shared by Abbot Peter Verhalen, O. Cist.
"no act of devotion…gives God more pleasure than that which is lavished on His poor."
We are grateful to those whose leadership, inspiration and powerful message made the morning together so special. We are deeply grateful to our breakfast chair, Jayne Bass, our 2026 Distinguished Honoree, Sean Myers, all our program Spark of Hope honorees and Abbot Peter Verhalen, O. Cist who gave a powerful reflection, Recognizing His Image, and reminded us that “one of the most beautiful aspects of the Society is that through serving the poor, you are growing in your own relationship with Christ.”

Our mission is to provide life-changing support to individuals and families in need, offering resources that bring stability and hope. Together, we can prevent homelessness, feed the hungry, and create sustainable futures.
