WHO ARE VINCENTIANS

The vocation of the Society’s members, who are called “Vincentians”, is to follow Christ through service to those in need and so bear witness to His compassionate and liberating love. We do this through home visits and other personal encounters with those we serve. We serve in hope.

BEING A VINCENTIAN

Vincentians give of themselves in service towards our neighbors in need. They commit to being part of one of our 41 local parish-based chapters, which are known as conferences, where they gather in fellowship, faith formation, training and friendship as they serve the local community.

Seeing the face of Christ in the most vulnerable, our Vincentians serve with sensitivity, compassion, and a deep respect, meeting personally with neighbors through the home visit. They truly get to know everyone they serve, listening to their stories, struggles, and aspirations, and do everything in their power to help them overcome poverty and move forward.
