Our History and Vision

Founded in 1956, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of North Texas has been a beacon of hope for thousands of individuals and families. Over the years, we have expanded our programs, built strong partnerships, and evolved to meet the growing needs of our community.

We envision a community where every individual has the opportunity to thrive with dignity and self-reliance.

What We Do

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a volunteer organization that offers direct aid to those in need across nine counties in North Texas. Through personal, compassionate interaction, the Society’s members provide short-term financial, material and emotional support to our neighbors in crisis.

2026 March Report

On March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, we formally consecrated the work of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We offered our collective work to the Lord to be sanctified and always guided by His Sacred Heart.

In February, we were blessed to take the Relic & Manual Tour to St. Martin of Tours in Forney and Holy Trinity in Dallas, meeting withour conference members at both. Lots of activities at multiple parish locations crammed into our shortest month - love and fellowship cannot be contained!

On January 25, 1956, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul began at Holy Trinity parish in the Diocese of Dallas, ushering in a spirit of service, charity, compassion and hope that has impacted hundreds of thousands over the course of the past 70 years.
