As the summer temperatures soared and vacation trips kicked in, Vincentians gathered at Holy Trinity parish for a Morning of Reflection led by Deacon Kory Killgo. The engaging reflection led us through questions that thedisciples asked of Jesus, questions that are relevant to us today.
In June, an explosion and fire at the Clyde Apartments in Oak Cliff displaced more than 20 families. Through our national "House in a Box" program and Thrift Store vouchers donated by conferences across North Texas, we helped 20 families move into new homes.
A Board retreat was held at Mount Carmel Center in Dallas in May to discern strategic priorities for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas. Eight months of planning led to this retreat, which began with Mass and ended in Eucharistic Adoration.
